Throughout the year both Dover District and Kent County Council hold consultations on matters of interest to the people of Sandwich. Check out the individual websites for full details.
Local residents, businesses, community groups, and statutory consultees were invited to review and comment on the draft Local Plan during the first round of public consultation which rans for eight weeks.
A dedicated Local Plan website (www.doverdistrictlocalplan.co.uk) was been developed so that as many people as possible can participate in the consultation despite current pandemic restrictions on public meetings and social distancing.
Sandwich Town Council, using it's committee structure to break down the Draft Local Plan into sections, considered all aspects of the information presented.
Considerable thanks are given to the residents who took the time to write to the council with their thoughts, concerns and recommendations. At an extra-ordinary meeting of the Council on the 15th March 2021 a final response to the consultation was resolved - CLICK HERE FOR THIS REPORT
You can then comment as an individual via DDC's website, we would also urge you to raise any concerns with your town councillors, so that these can be taken into consideration when Sandwich Town Council responds to the consultation.
