Openreach - Temporary Road Closure - Upper Strand Street, Sandwich - 2nd October 2023 (Dover District)

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Openreach, It will be necessary to close part of Upper Strand Street, Sandwich, from 2nd October 2023 with estimated completion by 2nd October 2023.

Upper Strand Street, Sandwich, will be closed between the junctions of High Street and Knightrider Street, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Knightrider Street, The Quay and High Street.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via High Street, The Chain, Galliard Street, New Street, St Georges Road, Sandown Road and Knightrider Street.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while allowing fibre works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Openreach.
