NEWLY FORMED PLANNING COMMITTEE
Sandwich Town Council is a statutory consultee for planning applications – there is a requirement set out in law for the planning authority (Dover District Council) to consult with the town council on planning matters, and the town council is under an obligation to respond.
Previously planning applications have been considered each month within the main Council meeting, however, in order to allow more time for better scrutiny of each application a dedicated Planning Committee of the Council has been set up. Full Press Release details
